We’re looking for a new batch of interns for our 2009 Semantic Summer program, which has been very successful for us in the past: previous interns have developed significant systems including Pronto, chunks of Pellet, XACML-DL, HIPAA-DL, etc.

If you’re interested in a stint building advanced systems to solve real world problems, we’re looking for people in the following areas:

  1. automated reasoning: OWL DL, Pellet, etc.
  2. automated planning
  3. ontology fusion, alignment, bootstrapping
  4. machine learning, especially in conjunction with reasoning

You should be very comfortable reading theoretical computer science papers and writing production-grade Java. Positions are for our Washington, DC office only. 3 and 6 month internships are possible. For more information or to apply, email is the preferred mechanism.
