Pellint 0.1 Release
by Evren Sirin
Today we’re releasing Pellint 0.1, an ontology lint tool for detecting and fixing performance problems in ontologies. As Kendall mentioned in a previous post, the goal of Pellint is to help Pellet users detect when reasoning with an ontology will be slow.
You can download Pellint and try it with your own ontologies. Or you can use it over the Web by pasting your ontology URL into a simple form embedded in the Pellint page. Easy!
As always we would be happy to hear feedback from users, especially whether the results returned by Pellint are helpful or not. There is enough documentation in the distribution to get you started with Pellint. In my next post, I’ll talk in more detail about what kind of patterns Pellint detect and why.
